Merry Christmas

We wish you all the joy this season brings. For Christmas this year we gave the kids a Playmobil Nativity Set as an early gift. Both the kids love it and I love the fact that they can handle the characters and remember their roles and also the reason for the season. The morning after we gave it to them MJ excitedly told me to come and look at her set up of the Nativity Set. She had set up sweet baby Jesus in the center with all of the other characters in a circle surrounding and looking at Him. That is truly what this season is all about. Looking to and remembering Jesus Christ, in his birth, life and death. Merry Christmas! We love you all!

It still feels unreal that we are homeowners. We feel so blessed! We were also blessed to have some awesome help in moving. Megan and Annemarie were able to come up. I don't even know what we would have done with out their help. Thanks again ladies!
MJ now thinks that now that we are in a home magically everyone will come visit. I don't know where she would get such an idea. :) Everyday she tells me of someone different that is coming to see us. Just know that visitors are welcome at any time!

BYU vs. TCU

When heard about the BYU vs. TCU game this year being at the Cowboys Stadium we really wanted to go. However, ticket prices were crazy expensive, so we decided it wasn't for us. Well it happened that last night was both the BYU vs TCU game and the final game in the World Series for the Texas Rangers, so we figured that some people wouldn't want to miss out on the World Series Game and might sell their football tickets for cheap. Well we were in luck, I found a someone outside the stadium selling first row tickets! The face value on the tickets were $75 each! We paid around $13!

DJ was parking the car while I was searching for ticket sellers, when he got back we headed in, me not letting him exactly know where our tickets were, as we went to sit down he could not believe the seats I had gotten! We had a great time even though BYU lost.

Silly Kids....

As I was looking through my photos today I found some pretty silly ones of the kids doing some pretty silly things. Just wanted to share:

MJ actually put this (which is the cover for our umbrella) on by herself and told me that she had to "make it not so sunny in here."

We're Building!

We are building a house here in Texas! Much thought, prayer, and mediation has gone into this decision and we know that this is the right thing for us to do for our family at this time. Due to some changes in DJ's work situation we have made this important decision.

Here are pics of the building process so far.....

Back of the house:
For me this is a bitter/sweet experience. It's an exciting time for us as we move into this new stage in our lives but also a difficult time admitting that we will be staying here for a while longer, far away from some of our dearest family and friends who we miss so much.

First Day of Preschool

Boy was this little girl excited to start Preschool today. I am doing the Preschool/Joy School with a few other ladies in my ward. She was very ready to get involved in something like this. She has been wearing that backpack since we bought it for her last week and she finally got to put it to good use today! I can't wait to pick her up to see how it went!
